Data Collection
We do not collect any data. ShutterSlim:
- Does not collect personal information
- Does not collect usage data or analytics
- Does not use cookies or tracking technologies
- Does not collect device identifiers
- Does not access your photos for any purpose other than the app's core functionality
Photo Access
ShutterSlim requires access to your Photos library to function. This access is used solely to:
- Scan your photos locally on your device to find similar images
- Display photos within the app for your review
- Delete photos you explicitly choose to remove
Your photos are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared. All processing occurs entirely on your Mac.
No Online Component
ShutterSlim has no online component. The app:
- Does not connect to the internet
- Does not have user accounts
- Does not sync data to any servers
- Does not use cloud services
Data Storage
ShutterSlim stores a small cache of photo analysis data locally on your device to improve scanning performance. This cache:
- Is stored only on your Mac
- Contains only technical fingerprints used to identify similar photos
- Does not contain copies of your photos
- Is automatically removed if you delete the app
Third-Party Services
ShutterSlim does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics platforms.
Children's Privacy
ShutterSlim does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
